A postgraduate course is organised about Computational Linguistics; it will begins in January 1999. Now a scientific workshop is organised every week about elementary elements of cognitive science. We have a laboratory of CL with computers (Pentium), scanner and Internet facilities. Web page. Research themes which are produced: - Algorithms of decomposition of words in syllabes; - Frequency of words in Roumanian texts - as first steps in Corpus construction; - Construction of dictionary for archaic words in romanian; - Algorithm for distinguishing proper nouns in texts; - Speech recognition of dedicated texts. - Automata of learning; We use C and Pascal as Programming Languages, MS-DOS and UNIX as operating systems; Collaboration with Roumanian Academy and Technical Military Institute. We whish to co-operate in international projects
